The Thorny Devil Drinks Through Its Skin

The thorny devil is a small lizard covered head to toe in sharp, cone-shaped spikes that look like a medieval weapon. Found in Australia’s desert regions, this reptile collects water by channeling dew and rain through tiny grooves between its scales that funnel moisture directly to its mouth. It also has a fake “second head” on its neck to confuse predators.
