The Green Tree Ant Builds Nests by Sewing Leaves Together

Found in northern Australia, the green tree ant, AKA weaver ant, pulls together live leaves using its strong mandibles, then gets its larvae to produce silk, which it uses like glue to hold the leaves in place. The result is suspended leafy nests that look like living tents, full of thousands of biting roommates.
